This is the first part in the series Road Trips From Roanoke Va and this time we're going to Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway. 

Peaks of Otter is a system of mountains, waterfalls and lakes that include Harkening Hill, Flat Top Mountain , Fallingwater Cascades Trail, Sharp Top Trail and Abbott Lake.

It's never a bad idea to check on any Blue Ridge Parkway road closures as it will happen from time to time.
