  1. I am trying to locate the exact location of Manns Bog. I know it is somewhere near Wind Rock but I would like more detailed location how to find it. Can you help me? Is it actually on the App Trail or is it somewhere off the trail? I will be taking the APP Trail at the Mountain Lake Road – Wind Rock access. Which direction do I go?

    Thanks,
    Bob Shea

    1. Hi Bob,

This is a new one for me. The best source I could find even mentioning Mann’s Bog was from the UVA Mountain Lake Biological Station here: https://mlbs.virginia.edu/organism/drosera_rotundifolia

The directions in the article to the Bog were vague, but the station is about 5 minutes from the trailhead and there’s a phone number you can call maybe someone over there knows the area better.
